Explained: Cross pollination is the concept that certain valuable ideas are to be found in alternate industries or areas of interest. And that, when combined with information from an industry you're already familiar with, innovation is more suseptiable and decisions are better informed.

  1. Mass production methods brought about by the industrial revolution are applied to food and the fast food restaurant is born.
     
  2. The idea of the celebrity musicians that are created with the careful use of media, is applied to chefs and famous TV chefs become a thing.
